Jennifer Arenson Yaeger
Director of Elementary School Partnerships
Jennifer Arenson Yaeger has over 25 years of experience in the field of education as an elementary teacher, reading specialist, literacy coach, graduate school instructor, researcher and evaluator of school reform initiatives. A graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Administration, Planning and Social Policy, Jen brings together a background in education policy and school change with her practical experience in classrooms in Boston and Plymouth, Massachusetts. Since 2003, she has also offered regional workshops to prepare teachers for the Foundations of Reading MTEL and has served as a national consultant to schools of education who are preparing students for similar Foundations of Reading tests in their states.
Prior to taking on the role as a Senior Staff Developer with TLA in 2019, Jennifer worked for over ten years as a District Literacy Coach for the Plymouth Public Schools (Plymouth, MA) where she worked side-by-side with teachers who were developing their expertise as teachers of reading and writing.
Jennifer is the proud mother of two teenage children, Annie and Ben. Her husband, David, is also a teacher and teaches AP Physics for high school students.
